Natalia Vodianova


Natalia Vodianova, born Natalia Mikhailovna Vodianova (Наталья Михайловна Водянова in Russian) on February 28th, 1982, is a Russian model and philantropist who currently lives in the United Kingdom. She was born in Born in Gorky, USSR, which now has the name of Nizhny Novgorod in Russia.

Natalia comes from a very poor family. When she was still a child, she was helping her family with their financial lack by helping her mom sell fruits. Also, at a young age, Natalia saw her father walk away from the family, and they never communicated again since this day, until Natalia became famous.

At the age of 15, Natalia got in a modelling academy. She couldn't even speak english back then, but she managed to master the language in about three months. At 17 years old, she moved to Paris, and signed with Viva Models.

Natalia has had a very large success as a model, in many areas including runways, editorials, and advertising campaigns. She has modeled in advertising campaigns for successful name brands such as Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, L'Oréal, and many more.

Natalia Vodianova's acting debut was in the movie CQ (2001) of Roman Coppola. Later, in 2009, she appeared in the movie Probka (2009), directed by Alexander Kott. Her latest film appearance was in 2010, in the 2010 remake of Clash of The Titans starring Sam Worthington, where the model was entirely modified with CGI for the role of medusa, the snake-bodied female whose "gaze" could turn anyone into a stone statue.
